5 OUTSTANDING BENEFITS OF CHARRED RICE HUSK IN AGRICULTURE
Charred rice husk (biochar) is a product from the process of burning fresh rice husk under low oxygen conditions. It is considered a "powerful assistant" for plant lovers thanks to 5 main uses:
-
Ideal planting medium: With its super light, loose, and airy characteristics, charred rice husk helps roots develop strongly. Suitable for sensitive plants such as Orchids, Roses, Succulents, Frangipani...
-
Source of organic fertilizer: Provides essential nutrients such as Nitrogen (in compound form), Potassium, Phosphorus, and Calcium. Often mixed with coconut coir and decomposed manure to increase nutritional value.
-
Effective moisture retention: During hot seasons, a layer of charred rice husk on the surface helps reduce water evaporation, keeps the soil moist, and supplies additional minerals to plants.
-
Soil improvement for degraded land: Helps increase soil fertility, creates a favorable environment for beneficial microorganisms to thrive, thereby restoring hardened soil.
-
Water filtration and detoxification: Thanks to its porous structure, charred rice husk can deodorize, disinfect, and filter toxins in water sources. The product is completely environmentally friendly and safe for health.
